This is one of the most beautiful wineries and fantastic wines in Napa Valley. I discovered the wine at a local restaurant however it is very difficult to find retail due to the limited distribution which is mainly to restaurants. The winery is owned by restaurateur Pat Kuletto who lives on the estate.
This winery is located off of Silverado Trail north of Napa on a mountaintop overlooking the town of Rutherford and Lake Hennessey and has breathtaking mountain and lake views. It is a little tricky to get to however if you follow the directions from the website (don’t rely on a GPS), you should be able to find it without too much difficulty. I recommend planning the tour for the afternoon when the morning fog burns off to get the best view. The round picnic table overlooking the lake and vineyards is the best spot for an overall view and is so beautiful it feels like you’re in a movie!
The tour takes you around the property which includes several overlooks in which to enjoy the beautiful mountain and lake views. The tasting is held outside at a long picnic table with grapevines forming a canopy above. The selection of various cheeses went extremely well with the wines which were superb.
You should allow time before and after the tour to get up and down the mountain, stroll the grounds and enjoy the beauty.
