Looking for the perfect every day Pinot? This is it. Of course, $17 isn’t an every day price for all of us, certainly not for me. But if you don’t mind the price its the kind of wine you can drink every day and always be happy. I served two bottles of this wine at my relatively small Christmas party and they were gone before I knew it.
On the nose of this wine you will smell a little cherry and spice. Its subtle and smooth. The wine tastes just like simple black cherry and plum. The fruit is really great though, nothing fake tasting about it. The finish is very smooth with just a faint hint of strawberry. I really enjoyed this wine.
La Crema is consistent with their wines. They are known for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Any vintage from this vineyard should be approached with confidence.
