Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc 2007

Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Now here is a wine where I really did not like the label. In fact I hate this label. What are they thinking? You can’t really see it from the image I’m using but the presentation of this bottle makes it looks like the wine is going to be lacking. But we know better, we know not to trust the label.

I bought this wine because its highly rated by Wine Spectator and I was looking for a sauvignon blanc to put on the cheap wine finder white wine list.

On the nose of this wine I got tropical fruit and pear.  There was a sense of somthing else there resembling a clean feel but I couldn’t identify it.  In the mouth there was a great balance of tropical fruit and citris.  I missed this completely but my girlfriend picked up guava on the finish.  Very nice well made wine that we both enjoyed.

Price: $17

  1. I just tried the 2008 vintage and while its not bad, it does not live up to the high ratings that past vintages have received (even though the 08 has a 91 and a 90 listed). If this is anything like the 2007 you should really try 2007 Brancott Sauvignon Blanc. I liked it more and its less expensive (under 11 bucks at my local Walmart).
