Innocent Bystander Shiraz Viognier 2005
October 13, 2008 by ramsay
This is a Shiraz Viognier blend. In case you don’t know, shiraz is a red wine and viognier is a white wine. This particular blend is 97% shiraz and 3% viognier. This blend produces a great wine. This was my first time ever having a shiraz viognier blend and I was excited to try it.
This was my favorite of four different wines I tried last Sunday. The Innocent Bystander has a very nice color to it. It resembled a dark inky red, very cool.
On the nose I picked up pepper and sweet blueberry. The wine so very smooth and I tasted more pepper, blueberry, a little herb and slight resemblance to soil or earth as the experts like to say. (No, thats not a negative thing).
