Wine glasses are not all created equally.  There is your red wine glass and your white wine glass.  Your stemmed and stemless.  Some are made of glass and some of plastic.  Some are dishwasher safe and some aren’t.  Actually many that say they are dishwasher safe will still break in the dishwasher when they are made of extremely thin glass.

Red wine glasses are usually wider than white wine glasses.  Red wine glasses are wider because it allows the wines to breathe.  White wine glasses are narrower because it helps to keep the wine cold.
